What is HYPOXI?
HYPOXI has been internationally acclaimed as one of the most effective targeted fat loss and cellulite reduction treatments to come on the market in recent years. Since its introduction in Australia in 2006, thousands of Australian men and women have already experienced the benefits HYPOXI has to offer.
Hypoxi’s founder, Dr Norbert Egger, recognized that if he could stimulate blood flow to a specific region of the body, he could accelerate the rate at which fatty acids were metabolized in that region. He also acknowledged that physical activity is critical to burning fat. Dr Egger and his team of physicians therefore set about to create a device which coupled exercise with a therapy which could increase blood flow to certain parts of the body.
HYPOXI is revolutionary because it is the first scientifically developed treatment proven to manipulate the body’s own circulatory patterns to accelerate fat loss in targeted areas of the body. In fact, independent studies have shown that HYPOXI clients lose up to 3 times greater circumference in the targeted area than that achieved with conventional exercise.
The team at HYPOXI has gone to great lengths to scientifically demonstrate the effects of HYPOXI on the body. Following a controlled study involving 530 women, HYPOXI has been shown to have a range of benefits, including:
- targeted centimeters reduction in the stomach, hip, buttock and thigh regions, up to 3 times greater than that achieved with conventional exercise;
- improvement in skin tone and texture;
- increased fat metabolism;
- improved blood circulation;
- lymph drainage;
- cellulite reduction;
The Vacunaut: Stomach and Hips
The Vacunaut is a neoprene low pressure suit which comprises 122 integrated vacuum chambers around the stomach and hip area. The air pressure in each chamber is controlled by a “technical pole” which contains a pump mechanism and inbuilt computer. The “technical pole” is connected to the low pressure suit via a system of tubes. The inbuilt computer regulates the pressure in the chambers throughout the duration of the treatment. The treatment is administered whilst the user undertakes gentle aerobic exercise.
During the 30 minute program, fatty acids transported directly from the problem zone are burnt off as fuel for movement.
Vacunaut training should be carried out wearing skin tight bike pants, a tight fitted t-shirt and joggers. Bring a gym towel with you as well.
S120: Hips, Buttock and Thighs
The S120 is a fully integrated ergometer comprised within a vacuum chamber. During the treatment, the pressure within the unit is systematically altered whilst the user undertakes gentle aerobic exercise.
The S120 has an additional phase during the treatment called a “compression” or “positive pressure” therapy. The application of positive pressure has been shown to reduce fluid retention, aid significantly in lymphatic drainage and assist in the repair of damaged tissue (much like a hyper baric chamber). Due to this added benefit and its wide range of applications; the S120 has been classed as a medical device in Europe.
The S120 analyses both the temperature of the skin and the heart rate of the client throughout the 30 minute treatment. If they rise above or fall below the ideal range of the person in training, the intensity is automatically adjusted to ensure heart rate and temperature return to optimum levels.
The S120 training should be carried out wearing loose fitting tracksuit pants, a t-shirt and joggers. Bring a gym towel with you also.
The HypoxiDermology Massage: Skin
The HypoxiDermology system consists of a neoprene low pressure suit which comprises 400 integrated vacuum chambers. The air pressure in each chamber is controlled by a “technical unit”.
Distinct from Vacunaut training, HypoxiDermology is a passive treatment in that it does not involve exercise. The treatment is administered whilst lying down. An ancient principle, perfected by HYP0XI.
Acknowledging the positive effects of cupping, HYPOXI adopted the technique and developed it into a contemporary and sophisticated treatment.
The central feature of the HD Massage is the complex network of 400 integrated pressure chambers located around the stomach, hip, buttock and thigh region. The HD Massage chambers act in a similar way to manual cupping, but have a number of notable advantages:
- The highly effective composition to the HD 400 means there no need for direct skin contact. This results in a decreased exposure of the connective tissue and blood vessels;
- The operation of the 400 vacuum chambers during the 30 minute program results in a greater surface area of skin being treated for up to 100 times longer than with traditional manual cupping; and
- The operation of alternation high and low pressure chambers stimulates circulation, thereby encouraging the supply of oxygen and nutrient enriched blood to the tissue. This leads to an increase in cell activity and regeneration.
HypoxiDermology training should be carried out wearing loose fitting shorts, t-shirt and socks.
Shrink your thighs with Hypoxi
The mission, should you choose to accept it: Spend 30 minutes exercising three times a week for four weeks in the Hypoxi vacuum machine. Cut out carbohydrates three hours before and after each session, exercise regularly (on top of Hypoxi sessions) and eat healthy portion-size meals.
The case in favour: If you're anything like me and always say you'll exercise and never do, if wasting money on gym memberships and not going after the first month sounds familiar, then Hypoxi is for you. It's fun, keeps you wanting more and won't take up too much of your time.
Basically, all you do is lay in a vacuum chamber cycling for 30 minutes while watching SATC. What more could you want? After only 12 Hypoxi sessions I'd lost 27cm from my body, and the best bit was seven of those were from my thighs and buttocks, plus I'd lost five kilos. Hypoxi is the secret to dropping a dress size fast.
The verdict: Warning! It's addictive. Hypoxi is the perfect solution to great legs, breaking down cellulite and getting a flat stomach in a short time.
